First time homebuyers in Okaloosa County will soon be able to take advantage of the Florida Homebuyer Opportunity Program (FHOP). The Okaloosa Community Development Corporation has released a notice indicating that FHOP funds will be available as of September 21, 2009. The state program is designed so that the federal First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit could be used for down payments and closing costs provide bridge loans.
